Here is what the directory provides:

  • A regularly updated directory of local mental health providers that is searchable based on specific and relevant information

  • A way to keep your caseload filled with referrals from other therapists

  • A way for you to ethically and confidently refer clients to other therapists

How is this different than Psychology Today?

  • Therapist facing: the directory will only be available to therapists

  • Updated monthly: therapists who do not have openings will not be actively listed, cutting down on dead-end referrals

  • Searchable through nuanced and relevant categories: filter your search with categories such as sliding scale slots, therapist intersectionality and time of day openings

How is this different than Therapist Facebook groups?

  • No need for social media: no notifications or comments to manage

  • Cut down the noise: you can search for what you want without having to filter through comments

Cost

  • Therapists will be able to search the directory for no cost, and will simply have to create a profile

  • Therapists posting availability will pay $5.00/month to keep their profile active
