About The Reflective Collective Founder:

Sarah Lynne Poole, MSW, LICSW, CST

Why I Started The Reflective Collective

I have worked in nearly every setting that a clinical social worker can work in: a hospital, community mental health, schools, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, group practice and private practice.

I saw many clinical social workers and therapists struggle as they tried to find a workplace where they could balance their caseload, income, and access to community supports. When I started my own private practice, the isolation of the profession and lack of community overwhelmed me. That’s when I started to dream about opening up a space where private practice therapists could find community, share office space, and still maintain their independence.

And as of mid-2024, less than 1 year from opening, we are nearly filled! I have immense gratitude for the community, care and connection that has formed between the therapists who call The Reflective Collective their home.

More about Me, and My Dreams for Giving Back

I am a passionate life-long learner. I am also committed to being a socially-just and culturally humble therapist. In 2021, seeing a gap in my knowledge, and a need in the community, I began training to be an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. A major focus of my sex therapy work is to support my clients in finding sexual empowerment, bodily autonomy and deep, loving, pleasurable relationships.

With The Reflective Collective, I envision more than offering fellow therapists community, connection, and thoughtfully designed office space. My want to use the income I make from TRC to allow me to do pro bono outreach work to people who do sex work in Seattle. Before I can make this dream come true, I need to pay back my startup loans which will take some time. I am excited and committed to giving back to our greater Seattle community.
